Infernals Species in Torlas | World Anvil

Infernals

At first her skin appeared dusty white, but it was actually a very, very pale pink, with black markings across her face and arms. Her eyes were one block colour, a gleaming white-gold. And her clothes and hair were all the same- except for the curling set of horns striking out from her hair, brazenly adorned with all sorts of gaudy jewellery on top of that which was on her long, pointed ears. Something shifted around her waist, and they watched as she unwound a long, prehensile tail with a heart shaped end.   ...The fiends immediately moved back, ducking their heads a little as she continued to snap at them, tail lashing angrily behind her, fangs large and barred, eyes flaming and black.
Infernals are a plane-touched species of mortal species affected by the plane of Fiends.

Basic Information

Biological Traits

Biological traits will vary wildly between infernals depending on the source of their fiendish biology. Many are resistant to certain types of damage that their ancestors lord over, and the majority have tails, horns and fangs. However, every infernal is a unique blend of a fiendish influence and mortal parent(s), making for a large diversity in biological traits.

Additional Information

Social Structure

It is rare to see a community of Infernals instead of lone wanderers. They offer no loyalty to each other for their blood and in fact often end up in contention of each other.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Wherever mortals tread, infernals may be found.

Civilization and Culture

Naming Traditions

They tend to follow the naming traditions of their parents. However, within infernal families, there is a preference for more 'exotic' names, which varies depending on the location.

Major Language Groups and Dialects

Fiendish, Local Common.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Given that most of them are surrounded by humans and occasionally other species with no other infernals in sight, it is very common for them to be in interspecies relationships. In fact, they are certain humans that are very interested in the infernal physique- but little about the actual person. Depending on the infernal dealing with these people, it tends to go badly for the wooer in one way or another.   Many people are somewhat wary of infernals due to their fiendish heritage. In order to have been affected enough to produce fiendish children, the assumption is that somewhere in their ancestry was a very evil person indeed and this has been passed on to the current child. However, there are just as many that accept infernals with ease, seeing them as the individuals that they are.
