Orcs

Orcs are a strong and brutish species that are rarely seen in most human/elf dominant countries and are mainly found in Yannun, and will generally live up to 140 years.
Orcs are close to the bottom of the social hierarchy. Orcs are not allowed to own territory outside of the Khaganate or Wall territories and pay the highest taxes of the empire. Most businesses will refuse service to orcs. In order to escape the conditions they live in, many orcs voluntarily join the military as foot soldiers in order to avoid persecution by their fellow citizens.
Orcs still remain at the bottom of the social hierarchy in the Amarian Republic. Many changes have been made to their rights however; orcs are not allowed to own property and must rent or be employed on said property. Every orc is forced to conscript into the Amarian military or be employed under someone; if they fail to meet these requirements they can be placed in a penal legion, be put into slavery, or face a long prison sentence. Due to their situation orcs are constantly in poverty and are unable to afford emigration to Yannun.
