Gundren's Diary

This diary of Gundren Rockseeker was found in a broken down wagon along the Triboar Trail on the way to Phandalin. It, along with two dead horses, was the result of an ambush upon Gundren and Sildar Hallwinter by some goblins who came from their cave just north of the trail.
There are a variety of notes about being in Neverwinter in the diary along with random lists and errand details. The following entries stand out as a bit more important:

I’m both disappointed and excited about having to rush ahead to Phandalin. I had things to finish up in Neverwinter before going but I feel so bad about the recent attacks. I can’t believe we’ve lost another hired group from these blasted fiends! It’s clear they’re up to something. However, it will be great to get back to our research. We’re so close!

Sildar has been a wonderful help on this trip. Honestly, I couldn’t do this without him and it’s looking more and more like everyone needs to keep safe along these roads.

Nyx and her friends seem to be up for the task. Hopefully they’ll be able to get our supplies to Barthen’s place as requested. She’s serious but that seems to be the way with wizards.
