Reindoth The Druid
Reidoth is a Human Druid and a self appointed protector of the area in and around Neverwinter Wood. He is a nomadic traveler who rarely speaks or meets with others, but he has a longstanding friendship with the Alderleaf family of Halflings. He is short with his words but true with his deeds, often protecting nature from the destructive forces of civilization, and at times the other way around.
Reidoth was first mentioned to the party by Sister Garaele who mentioned he might be able to help them locate the Cragmaws' main base as the Druid has a reputation for knowing his way around the lands of the Neverwinter Wood area. She points them in the direction of Qelline Alderleaf, a longtime friend of Reidoth's, in order to find out where to find him. Qelline told them he will most likely be out at Thundertree as well as telling them he would most likely be able to help them. She also told them not to confuse his curt and blunt nature with bad intentions or disrespect. They set out later that day in order to find the Druid.
During their exploration of Thundertree, the party met with Reidoth as planned. He offered them sanctuary from the peril of the ruined town in his sparse squat before warning them of the dangers in the area. He revealed to them the presence of a young Green Dragon in the area to the North as well as Giant Spiders hidden among the old houses. He also mentioned the recent arrival of strange people in the East of the village, who the party later encounter (believing them to be members of the Cult of the Dragon). Reidoth tells the party about the Emerald Enclave as well as him being a member, stating that he curates the area of Neverwinter Wood on their behalf, keeping the balance between the forces of Civilization and Nature. Agreeing that the Cragmaw Goblins are a treat to this natural balance he reveals to the party the location of Cragmaw Castle, their main base and likely holding place of Gundren Rockseeker
3/1/1:
Reindoth went to Quelline Alderleaf to visit her and have a couple of drinks with her. he stays a couple of days on Phandlain.
3/8/1:
Reindoth heads to Thundertree and runs into Orcs, he slays all of them but one and tells him to not bother Reindoth the Druid and to spread the name.
3/14/1:
Reindoth arrives at Thundertree and begins experimenting on twig blights to come up with new potions and concoctions
3/16/1:
Reindoth notices a dragon that lives in Thundertree, he treads more carefully as the dragon could be dangerous. He realizes that with the Dragon being there he is unable to do his work properly. He isnt able to take on the dragon on his own so he decides to continue his research carefully.
3/24/1:
While doing some reasearch on the outskirts of Thundertree he spots a band of dragon clan members, he confronts them and asks what they are doing a fight breaks out and reindoth is able to kill 4 the leader asks to negotiate to split up the city as they only want the side beside the dragon to gain its favour. Reindoth knowing if he declines it could be dangerous accepts reluctantly. Secretly he wants to get rid of them but for now he will make do.
3/25/1:
It is already obvious that resreach will be difficult, he will try to continue but it is taking lots of work.
3/30/1:
Adventurers Gobey, Sildar, Aurthum, Phalux, and Isac arrive to Thundertree and speak with Reindoth. To Reindoths surprise they were looking for him, he could help these adventurers but he sees them as strong so thinks he can use them to get rid of both the dragon and the clan. He makes a deal with them and gives them adivce.
4/1/1:
The adventurers attack Venomfang. Reindoth gets close to helping when he sees the dragon running away. he thanks the adventureres and gives them advice on how to get to Cragmaw Castle.
4/2/1:
He stays to continue on his research for a couple of weeks.
4/18/1:
His research is complete and he decides it is best to go to Neverwinter to report his finidings.
4/23/1:
In neverwinter academy he finds that nearby Thundertree there is potetial for the bringing of a new dragon. The fey energy points as a great dragon breeding ground. The emerald Enclave tasks him to look for these areas near Thundertree. He decided that it was important to speak to the people of Connyberry, Old Sarandhar, and Thundertree
4/29/1:
Reindoth went to Connyberry to speak to Agatha about any dragon activity.
5/13/1:
Reindoth while looking at specific species of plants finds a portal in the middle of neverwinter forest. This takes him to some unknown land to him but this is the land of Cherox. He is excited to explore this different land
5/22/1:
Reindoth is exploring the area and learning about the wilderness, he heads south where there could be civilization. He marks the teleportation area and makes a note to anyone who finds it about him, he heads south to find a civillization
6/7/1:
Reindoth arrives at the city of Cakodia, he chills there and does research on the area, he wants to know everything about this continent he is unsure about.
6/27/1:
Reindoth is able to understand everything about this land that he can and gets where he is and how far, this intrigues him and begins to develop a want to get a home on this land and exapand his knowledge. He builds a house of his own in Cakodia, they accept him.
7/9/1:
Reindoth is minding is own business when suddenly a whole fog descends on Cakodia, he knows instantly something bad is going to happen after a while people start getting murdered and slaved by undead and a revenant is a leader. Reindoth is able to escape and knows a group of heroes who took down a dragon he runs to back to the portal and wants to go meet with Isac
7/16/1:
Reindoth goes to Isac to ask him for help with his problem, however Isac is busy, Isac suggests that he go to Phandalin to submit his request to the guild. He quickly runs in to submit his application
7/26/1:
He submits his application and puts a hefty price with good rewards as this is a Bone devil and a hag that are going to take over Cakodia
8/19/1:
Reindoth just gives up, no hero was up to the task, he waits outside of Cakodia until one day someone can come and step in to take down the hag.
