Iarno "Glasstaff" Albrek
A former member of the Lords' Alliance, larno seized an opportunity in Phandalin to line his own pockets. Originally tasked with setting up a constabulary, the mage instead assembled a group of outlaws and local ruffians to secure his own position in town.
larno knew of the Black Spider through his contacts in the Lords' Alliance and brokered a meeting. The drow promised to share the secrets and wealth of the Forge of Spells with the wizard in exchange for his help and loyalty.
larno puts on airs of gentility and courteous manners, addressing his ruffians as "my good gentlemen," and referring to sordid acts such as kidnapping or arson as "that unpleasant little business" or "those unfortunate events." He refers to the characters as "guests" and expresses regret that he cannot provide suitable entertainment for their visit. Beneath his genteel demeanor, however, larno is just as thuggish and arrogant as any Redbrand outlaws.
3/1/1:
Iarno works on his invisibility potions in Phandalin and gives an order to his memebers to continue to terrorize the town but to stay away from some certain people one of these being Halia Thorton. Rumple asks Iarno why he would rather stay here and not expand the redbrands infuence. Iarno says he cannot disclose as to why he is doing it but Rumple should obey and continue to to show the town trouble. The truth is he was sent a card from the black spider promising him a lot of gold to maintain within the area.
3/6/1:
Iarno leaves his study for a brief moment and notices that the hideout is extremely quiet, upon further investigation he sees bodies and freed prisoners, her comes to the conclusion that he has been infiltrated and all of his men were either dead or captured. Surprised as to why he did not fall he continued to do his work but set up an alert trap beside his room for anyone to stumble on.
3/7/1:
Iarno hears a group in the other room, he makes haste to leave as soon as possible, working on all of the invisibilty potion paid off as he was able to run away and drink the invisibility potion and became free. he ran out and headed to neverwinter where he was told to go if something were to go south as thats where the Black spider would arrange a contact for him.
3/10/1:
Iarno is told to evacuate any remaining valuables and head to the wave echo cave by Phandalin as Phandalin will be attacked soon. He quickly goes to his old hideout in Trescendar Manor.
3/13/1:
Iarno gets back to the Manor and gets his things frantically, eventually someone walks in, that someone is his second Rumple. He asks him what is he up to. Iarno is desperately packing his stuff and grabbing any valuables, he tells Rumple to hurry up and get ready to leave too as they have been summoned to meet with someone, Iarnos boss, The Black Spider. They have to meet at some location near Phandalin in some cave. Rumple confronts Iarno how he is staying and rebuilding the redbrands on his own. Iarno says if he stays then he will most likely die. As he has been informed that Goblins will be attacking on the 15th and they are given 2 days to leave. Rumple knowing this is truth he agrees to go with Iarno.
3/14/1: The Black Spider meets with Rumple and Iarno in the wave echo cave, they are told to hold up camp here as they will be fed and entertained and kept hidden from the people of Phandalin as they will look for a scapegoat and they are easy pickings. They camp out there for weeks
4/10/1: Hearing a commotion Glasstaff and Rumple hideout together within the pillars of a cave as they see a couple of adventurers consisting of Maldron, Aurthum, Amber, Pippy, and Isac. Rumple asks from the shadows where is Gogo. When suddenly in a fury Pippy kills and decapitates Rumple. Iarno fights the rest of the adventures he is overpowered and asks for forgiveness and begs for his life but Amber refuses and kills him immediately.
