Youte Haire (a.k.a. You There)

Orphaned at a young enough age (for reasons unknown to him), Youte grew up on the mean streets of the Field District in Waterdeep. He quickly realized he has the talent for blending in, and a trustworthy but forgettable face. He learned the skills of the rogue trade - pickpocketing, disguise, confidence games, etc - at a young age, and was feeding himself by running the Waterdeep equivalent of three-card monte by the age of 10. Fortunately, he had a way of slipping away when things got bad, and people scammed would have a hard time identifying him later.
When he got old enough, he started getting odd jobs for the rich nobles under one of his many disguises. Although he doesn't actually know, the story he's built in his head is that his parents were noblepeople who abandoned him as a baby. So when he got a job, he'd earn their trust, learn their secrets, and eventually take their most valuable objects. Sometimes he'd sell them to feed himself, but often he'd give them away to others in need - orphans, street urchins, and the like. The thrill of getting revenge against The Man was enough!
