History

Crows perch was established in 1295, when the Tharsis wall was already a ruin. Vobron Blackmyre was sent to the hungering mountain pass to restablish its defenses; what he found was a destroyed officers house on the edge of a swamp. Vobron and his builders built it into what is now Crows Perch keep, adding walls and completely rebuilding the manor. with this way station came people, setting up inns and general stores for travelers going east. over the last 300 years however, a series of disasters has spawned rumors of dark rituals going on inside the keep. the keep has burned down twice, a house was lost to the lake, and monsters have always stalked the weeping woods, taking children and hunters alike.

Natural Resources

although crows perch is mainly a fortified way station on the way to the dalelands, it was built with self sustainability in mind. the Weeping woods provide a high risk high reward source of game, leathers and timber. Gardener lake, on the other side of the city, provides some small amount of fish and fresh water to the city. the Blackmyres also own a few iron and silver mines in sword mountains, which provide the nearby city with ore for smithing and trade.
"Cynthia grasped my arm and whispered to me. Her eyes were wide and blue: her hair was wild and tangled. Bats might nest in it. It seemed to me that i was sitting on a hillside, above a wide blue lake, listening to a story of a murder. An axe. A net. Blood on scented water"  - Compiled from IAG report on Crows Perch
