Session 23: Silk Surfers Report

General Summary

The party continued through the tunnels and caverns of the Underdark, coming upon a large area of webs. They were met shortly by two goblins, Spiderbait and Yuk-Yuk, who offered to guide the group past the "Silken Paths" in exchange for some gold. The party agreed, and so the goblins led them through, helping them to avoid the sticky sections of the webs and keep to the stronger sections. After a near accident where the webs broke under Ront, and a battle with giant spiders, the party encountered a spectator. Upon convincing it that they weren't demons, they sent it in the direction of the entrance to the Silken Paths, causing a delay for their drow pursuers.
Near the end of the paths, they found a halfling named Fargas Rumblefoot, who had been captured by the spiders for later eating. They freed him, and he offered to help show them to some good treasure in return. The group bade farewell to their guides, and continued on their way.
A few days later, they found a cavern with beautiful, multicolored crystals that glowed. Jaaski and Jimjar had a competition to see who could gather up the most crystal; Jaaski won, and Jimjar gave her his crystal chunk as her prize. Later that evening, Shuushar taught Jaaski how to make glowing tattoos, and expressed excitement for reaching Sloobludop the following day.

Rewards Granted

Several crystal chunks were collected from a large cavern; they have yet to be appraised.
