The outer walls of Bendora

These old and damaged walls have stood the test of time, years of use and abuse has taken a toll on the stone structure. Hundreds of years these walls stood strong, stronger than any else. However when the highly organized and powerful Gilded crown began their siege of the city 267 years ago the wall for the fist time ever was broken, and the city of Bendora, taken. Today, hundreds of years later, the Bendoran Wall is repaired and under the use of the Metal guard, and the Gilded crown, however some scars still remain on its light grey surfaces.

Purpose / Function

The city of Bendora is an ancient city from before the Lazarus Gate. It’s wall was created by the chromatic Dragonborn of the time to defend the holy grounds of the hexmatic. This was the heart of the empire at the time, and once the Lazarus Gate was put in place, and the gods removed from the world, it was known as the impenetrable city. Now a days, the wall is refurbished, and under the use of the Gilded Crown. They use the wall as a massive deterrent to local barbarism, and as a way to safe guard their seat of power within Gora, Bendora.

Alterations

Recently the Gilded crown has begun to refurbish the wall, fixing any cracks, breaks, and replace any iron with steel on the walls surface. It’s paying fairly well, however it’s dangerous, and the death rate is fairly high.

Architecture

The wall is broken up into six sections with six major towers, each representing the six gods of the hexmatic religion. Each one has a brazier that puts out smoke of the color of the god the tower is for. The yellow on is only lit on Remembrance Day. The wall is not a perfect hexagon. The wall is made from light grey stone and dark iron, the iron is used to create strength near the base of the structure, and it is made into sweeping draconic patterns of arcs, and sharp points. The iron is being swapped out for steel, as it’s bing made more often and cheaper now.
