The Weirds

The Weirds are a infamous pirate crew made up of mostly Water Gensai residing in the upper islands of the High Seas Archipelago. Originally a family that was cast out by the local Air Genasi population after the Rupture and were unable to return to the lower islands and seas and turned to pirating instead. 
Many attempts to wipe out the family were made but for reasons unknown once traced back to their cove any who followed them in never returned. Thus, they were eventually left alone and the only attempts to stop their pirating are now made outside of the cove.
In the Colonization Era their band had grown to nearly 30 members mostly family but also a few outsiders welcomed in. Their reputation grew once airships became more and more popular as the magical charge in the upper isles grew and they increased their wealth by preying on the unknowing ships from The Continent.
