Appearance

Bitter Breath’s horned devil form is powerful and imposing. Long, sharp horns curve forwards like a ram. On her back, her once-mighty wings are reduced to withered, skeletal stumps.
Her drab olive skin is darkened with soot, oil and ash. Infernal runes from Zariel’s curse glow faintly across her body.
Her face is hidden behind a dark iron helmet, revealing only just jaw of razor sharp teeth. Jagged portions of plate armour cover parts of her body. Her weapon of choice is a massive pitchfork that glows faintly with infernal power.
Her voice, deep and gravelly, produces words that dissolve into black smoke upon utterance.

Speaks in deliberate and short phrases, aware that her words turn to smoke and choosing her moments of communication carefully.
Displays a simmering rage beneath a cold, calculated exterior, her frustration with Zariel’s curse occasionally boiling over into violent outbursts.
Commands with a fierce presence, her hobgoblin followers deeply loyal out of fear and respect for her ruthlessness.
Often glances at her ruined wings, a visible reminder of her humiliation, and becomes aggressive if they are mentioned.

Formerly L’zeth, a pit fiend in service to Bel, Bitter Breath’s ambitions led her to conspire against Zariel during her rise to power. Her defeat marked her fall from grace, with Zariel demoting her to a horned devil and stripping her wings as punishment.
After her failed second attempt to overthrow Zariel, Bitter Breath was cursed so that she could no longer enter infernal contracts. Her words turning to smoke is a constant reminder of her fall.
Ostracized by other devils under Zariel’s command, Bitter Breath turned to hobgoblin marauders for survival, leveraging her infernal power and cunning to dominate them and form her gang.
She has recently allied with other rogue warlords in Avernus, seeking to expand her power base while maintaining a fragile balance of alliances with Feonor and Algoran.

Vengeance Against Zariel: Bitter Breath’s every move is driven by her hatred for Zariel and a desire to reclaim her former glory.
Strategic Alliances: Bitter Breath is pragmatic, allying with other warlords like Kolasiah and Algoran out of necessity while carefully avoiding conflicts that could weaken her position.
Old Contacts: She still has contacts within Bel's inner circle. She is reticent to call upon them however, as she's all too aware how few favours she has left.
