Sleep
1st-Level Enchantment
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 90 feet
Components: V, S, M (a pinch of fine sand, rose petals, or a cricket)
Duration: 1 minute
This spell sends creatures into a magical slumber. Choose one creature you can see within the range of the spell. The target creature becomes overwhelmed with magical drowsiness which causes it to make attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws that use its Strength or Dexterity with disadvantage. If a creature takes damage before the end of its next turn, it can make a Constitution saving throw, ending the spell on itself on a successful save.
At the end of the drowsy creature’s next turn, it must make a Constitution saving throw or fall unconscious until the spell ends, the sleeper takes damage, or someone uses an action to shake or slap the sleeper awake. If the creature succeeds on the saving throw, it shakes off the drowsiness and is no longer affected by the spell.
Undead and creatures immune to being charmed aren't affected by this spell.
At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, you can target one additional creature for each slot level above 1st.
