You touch a willing creature. Until the spell ends, the target's skin has a rough, bark-like appearance. The target's AC can't be less than 17, and it reduces any bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage it takes by 1d4. The target can still gain benefits from any shields it wields, or any other bonuses to its AC.

At Higher Levels: When you use a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the duration of the spell increases to 8 hours.
