Valdamere Overview
Valdamere is a young country in northeastern Aldorath, founded in only 1085 SKR. It was recognized formally by Summerlund, Faerinwold, and the Three Shires in that year and by Norhast three years later. Kurdenheim has yet to formally acknowledge its sovereignty, largely due to their distrust of the Verdan due to their worship of Kavesh. Gristamere refuses to acknowledge it, claiming they have sole authority over the lands north of the Summerwall, and they have made numerous attempts to destroy the nascent kingdom, having been foiled each time by a combination of forces of Summerlund, Norhast, and others.
As the followers of Kavesh the Renewer grew in Gristamere, the Zhakastir Kershak Nakrul, as parto f hte Five Who Call, planned to march Goblinoid soldiers down the Crownways to attack the united forces of the The Fourth Conclave of the Seven Kingdoms during the Battle of Worldbreaker's Howe. The Verdan, led by Valkur Narthask, joined the Summerling forces at the Summerwall, holding back the goblins to make sure they could not reach the battle, significantly reducing the forces that were attacking at Worldbreaker's Howe. Nakrul was forced to retreat to Kuhrzhakkos to lick his wounds, and Narthask raised his new nation's flag, featuring an altered version of Kavesh's holy symbol.
The young country is a theocracy, ruled by Narthask in his role as the high priest of Kavesh the Renewer. It has continued to act as an ally to Summerlund and Norhast, actively defending Summerlund from attack to the north and attacking Gristamere forces that attempted to invade Norhast from the south. Time will tell what role this new kingdom will play in the years to come.
