Shulreth

Shulreth is an Undead servant of the Lich Acererak. He is a worshipper of Lylaria the Wordbender in her aspect as the Queen of Secrets. He was sent to determine what Harubek Copperbraids was up to in the ancient mines. Although he was not interested in Imix, the Elder Elemental Eye angle intrigued him, and he stayed around to learn more, ultimately allowing him to come into possession of Brunden Blackhammer. Believing the Dwarf to be an agent of the Vault, he began to try and extract Brunden’s secrets from him, leading him to run afoul of the Fire Wasps.

Later, it was discovered that he was in possession of an artifact called the Heart of the Bayou . To the Fire Wasps' surprise, the strange entity freely gave it to them, saying that he had no desire to see the Tarrasque destroy the world he'd spent so long cataloguing the secrets of. His current whereabouts are unknown.

In an epilogue, it was revealed that he was the true identity of the Wizard Rethamir Volantis and that he had given the Heart of the Bayou to the Fire Wasps at the behest of Acererak, perhaps for less than benevolent reasons.
