Octavian Meliamne

Octavian Meliamne is a Wood Elf minstrel from the Feywild Kingdom of Senaliesse. His good looks, silver tongue, and ability with the syrinx earned him many loves of different genders, but, over centuries, the pain of losing so many loves made his heart heavier than he could bear.
He sought out Zybilna's Palace of Heart's Desire in the Domain of Prismeer, hoping to ease his heart. Instead, he found his way to Bavlorna Blightstraw's splinter realm of Hither. He struck a deal with the Hag to give up his pain, but he thought better of the deal, for what she wanted was his still-beating heart. In a fury, Bavlorna tore out his heart and traded it for a goat's heart so he wouldn't die.
Without his true heart, he felt no emotions. He remained in Downfall, playing music that somehow remained haunting, but his presence now brought cold and melancholy to everyone. When the Witchlight Court came through, they promised to try and fetch his original heart for him. They found it chilling Bavlorna's larder, retrieved it, and brought it back to the elf as they fled Bavlorna's wrath. With his emotion restored, Octavian was filled with joy and skipped off into the swamps.
