Nib

Nib is an elderly Human who says he's from a city called Waterdeep in a world called Toril. Nib was a wealthty landowner who profited off of the misery of his tenants. He began to be haunted by apparitions of those he had wronged, and he came in search of Zybilna to have it stopped. Instead, he met with Skabatha Nightshade who told him that, if he gave away all his gold in the form of gifts, he would be freed of the haunting. She gave him a spinning wheel that lets him spin gold into yawn and then into various items, like magical weapons, armor, and trinkets. 
Nib has taken up residence in a cave in Thither, where his gold is heaped about him in piles, and he spins as long as he can endure it. The gold is cursed and would cause anyone taking it to become haunted, much as Nib himself is. The apparitions got to the point where he began to wear a blindfold to avoid seeing them, but he's cheerfully working through his curse, hoping to one day be free.
