Mećhu
Mećhu is a type of bread created by Dwarves that uses a type of flour derived from a starch-rich mountain lichen. It tends to be much heavier than the breads made by other species, and dwarves love to enhance them with the addition of nuts, liquids, fruits, and other ingredients. Some of the more popular varieties of mećhu include:
- Mećhudaćh, better known as dwarven beer bread. This variety of mećhu uses beer in place of other leavening agents.
- Mećhugroden, a bread that is braided, recalling the beards of dwarves.
- Khevmećhu, or "Golden Loaf". In this case, the mećhu is literally thinly gilded with gold leaf.
- Mećhukuhr, or "Trove Bread", a holiday bread filled with a thick, alcoholic pudding.
