Chucklehead

Chucklehead is a Goblin who runs the Candy Market in Loomlurch. Fey magic has reshaped his head into a large toffee apple. At some point, a maggot crawled in and began to eat at his head from the inside. It ate away some of the rot it found, he believes, causing him to have changed from a selfish and uncaring person into someone with empathy towards others. He insists that the maggot talks to him, and he often can be found speaking aloud to it in turn. Although he's sure the maggot will ultimately kill him by eating his whole head, he doesn't want it removed or killed, as he fears he'll go back to being the terrible person he was.
Chucklehead has a great fondness for Mishka, one of the kids that Skabatha Nightshade kidnapped and put to work in her toy factory. Mishka was the only child who didsn't mock how he looks, and he feels protective towards her. He was pleased when the Getaway Gang and the Witchlight Court freed her.
One day, Chucklehead woke up to find that the gnawing sensation in his head was gone. A few weeks later, the "maggot", which had gone through a chrysalis, emerged from his head as a butterfly. Chucklehead remained good, and he is living his happily ever after.
