Barley and Barrow

When one visits the town of Cleavon's Well in Sturrowshire , one quickly learns that, short of offering a few coppers to locals to stay in their barns, the best place to get meals, drinks, and a bed for the night. is the Barley and Barrow. They'll be directed towards the center of town, where a good sized building stands, and a wheelbarrow full of flowers marks the spot. This wheelbarrow, from which the inn gets its name, was put here years ago by an ancestor of the current proprietor, Stannifar Brewer. When Stannifar's family fled Dalenshire during the Second Witching War, they brought many local flowers with them in a wheelbarrow full of local Dalenshire soil. When they decided to settle in Cleavon's Well and open an Inn, the wheelbarrow was parked outside, and the Brewer family has lovingly tended the barrow ever since.

The other half of the name comes from the nearby barley fields that the family tends to. It's from these fields that they harvest barley for stews, breads, and, most importantly, the excellent barley wine for which the Inn is famous. While few enough visitors come through town, given that it is far removed from the Crownways and other major thoroughfares, the barley wine's reputation has spread, and more people have come to visit and sample it. One such person, the Dragonborn Sorcerer Majestark Aurumvath, settled in town and has become one of the Inn's most distinctive regulars.
