Apto, Chieftain of the Swiftclaw Tribe

This leonin barbarian leads the Swiftclaw Tribe as his father did.  He is fiercely loyal to his tribe and to his wife, Sica, whom he worships.  He trusts his instincts, rightly or wrongly, and if he pronounces you a friend, he will defend you with his life.  If you come upon him on his ever more rare travels away from his tribe, you would do well to enlist this powerful humanoid as an ally and not attempt to attack or thwart his mission.

If you are lucky, after what may be just minutes in his presence, he will accept you with a simple phrase: “We are friends now.”
