Lernaean Hydra (learn-ay-an)
Named after the ancient Greek and Roman mythological creature, Lernaean hydras, more commonly known simply as hydras, are Dark Creatures mutated from water serpents during the Cataclysm of the Nether.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Typically, hydras are in possession of 6 to 9 necks and heads. They have mostly the same appearance as an earth snake, aside from their size, the number of heads, their legs and their frills. These frills grow on their heads/necks as well as their tail, leftover from when they survived solely in water, they are now used for threat display. Their legs are short and set in a sprawling position, somewhat akin to crocodilian legs. They have four fingers and deadly claws.
Due to the amount of Fel energy in the veins of hydras, they are in possession of a unique regeneration capability that allows them to grow two heads to replace every one which is destroyed.
