Timekeepers - Vega, Draco and Aurora Divisions

Founding

Following the devastating outcome of the conflict between the Illadrians and the Kromas and the subsequent establishment of the near-impenetrable lockdown shields surrounding the Illadrian home worlds, the Timekeepers set up three specialist units, Vega, Draco, and Aurora. These groups each took possession of one of Illadrias's most important assets and at the same time, began to safeguard their best-kept secret.

To the best of the knowledge of the public, both Illadirans and any other race privy to the information, the Illadrian shields are powered and maintained on each of their respective worlds and, subsequently, could be disabled if an enemy could reach the generator itself and destroy it. The shield generators, or to give them their proper name "Epochal, Harmonic Warding Engines" have naturally been placed under heavy guard making any breach of security highly unlikely. This, however, is not the whole truth...

Purpose

The purpose of these specialist Timekeeper units is to ensure the shields never fail and to do so, these groups have in their possession specialist devices, "Quantum Oscillarium" which hold the key to ensuring these wards are immune to collapse. The Oscillarium, one for each of the three Illadiran home worlds, are responsible for generating the precise and intricate temporal frequencies that synchronise the shields with the very natural flow of time. This enables the Epochal Harmonic Warding Engine to generate these formidable shields by manipulating the very fabric of space-time to create their shield matrices.

These Oscillariums are the only device capable of altering the strength of the shield or indeed deactivating them and were taken off-world shortly after the shield's establishment. Before their removal and their safeguarding to the Timekeeper units, a small portion of the shield was re-directed to encompass the generator itself making the shields completely immune to outside interference from friend or foe alike without the presence of the Oscillarium. The purpose of these units is to ensure these devices do not fall into the wrong hands and are kept safe until such a time the danger has passed. While Illadrians believe their shields are protected only by a large contingent of soldiers, enough to give most Illadrians peace of mind, in truth, their world's fate hangs in the secrecy and safeguarding of one of Illadrias oldest orginisations. Their planets futures are almost ironclad in safety, provided that the TImekeepers can maintain their secret charge.
