Scarlet Amaranthe

Physical Description

Scarlet Amaranthe is a unique and captivating species of plant that primarily grows as a scarlet-hued moss-like growth. It thrives in symbiotic harmony with the roots and bark of trees, forming intricate patterns around the base of their host’s structure. The moss itself has a soft and velvety texture, with a stroking red colour that adds a vibrant contrast to the surrounding foliage. The blooming of the plants flowers occurs only within random patches of the moss during which time the scarlet moss transitions into a rich purple shade creating a stunning display of colour. The flowers themselves possess delicate tube-like structures that emit a subtle, sweet, and lingering fragrance.

Location & Harvesting

This rich flowering plant can be found on only one uninhabited world, Viora, within the Desolate Grimlands efforts to cultivate the species on other worlds and botanical gardens have so far proven unsuccessful.
