An ocean-covered planet. Many sunken ships. Decaying islands crawling with strange creatures from the Void. And among all this, there is Harxxi. The last habitable island, on which the last remnants of this world try to keep existing. Welcome to Tiwin, a science fantasy world and the setting of Two Paths.   The world exists in a strange state: two parallel versions of the same planet circling around the same star and orbited by the same three moons. Two states, two names. The last few dozen people from the world's four sapient species split between them into four Tribes and regaining numbers each generation. A fifth, who didn't make it to the island, forgotten and presumably extinct by now.   Tiwin also houses a form of magic, manifesting in natural Abilities for their inhabitants. They are powered by either their own life force or something only known as The Source. It flows through the whole planet like an invisible river, revitalizing the planet and releasing particles that can be accessed to power Abilities into the air, and on the edges of the river grow crystals of raw power that the Tribes have learned to incorporate into their already superadvanced technology.   And although the Tribes are peaceful they are forced to adapt as the Void creatures constantly assault their planet, hoping to leech the life out of it and consume the Source that grants everything power. Some hide, some fight, some set traps. One thing is for certain: what happened during the war can never be repeated.
