Fenralis - The Chaotic Lycan

Domain

Fenralis is the god of the moon, instinct and the wild nature/chaos in all beings. He governs the movement and power of the moon and primal instincts in all beings. He is revered and feared in equal measure as the patron god of werewolves, and other shapeshifters. His domain covers the duality of control and chaos, light and shadow and is the guardian of those who embrace the wild chaos within. Often misunderstood, he is seen as both a guide to those who want to embrace their primal side, and an oppressor to those cursed by his power.

Many lycanthrope clans view him as their creator and leader. These clans gather during the full moon to undergo sacred rites, howling their praise to the moon. While some embrace their lycanthrope selves, others strive for balance. His temples are hidden in forests and are covered in mirrors to capture the moon's light.

Appearance & Personality

He has untamable, long silver hair and is cloaked in flowing moonlight. He has purple eyes and incredibly sharp teeth. At times he is depicted as a large silver wolf with glowing violet eyes but in his humanoid form he looks like an average middle-aged human in need of a haircut.

He is unpredictable and acts swiftly on his emotions being either a protector or a harbinger of chaos. He urges mortals to embrace their true selves. While he doesn't exactly condone unnecessary violence, he believes in the importance of primal instincts and how they can strengthen mortal life.

History/Lore

• The Lunar Pact: According to the followers of the moon god, centuries ago, at the dawn of civilisation, Fenralis created the first werewolves as protectors of the wild when mortals sought to conquer the untamed lands in favour of civilisation. The Lunar Pact still exists as an ancient order of lycanthropes who protect the land from dangerous mortals.
