Second floor: guest rooms
Third floor: bedrooms, nursery, parents’ private studies. There are thick curtains on all the windows, and the parents’ room has special shutters to completely block out the sun.
Basement: kitchens
Under the basement: mazelike catacombs of carefully organized and preserved bones
Other buildings
Stables
Servants’ quarters
Outdoors
False Garden – the main garden, made entirely of fake plants. Silk flowers, metal trees with leaves that shine in the moonlight
Living Garden – much smaller, with a big stone wall around it, and has living magical plants. Children aren’t supposed to go off the path there
Forest – surrounds the estate, but isn’t technically part of the manor proper
