Samuel Miresly

Samuel Miresly (he/him) is a character played by Tristan (he/him) in Arc 4: The Maw of Nathair. He is a Level 10 Fathomless Warlock, Cerithyss as his patron, stout halfling, and a sailor.

Description

Samuel is a 3’9 old man Halfling with gray hair and leather tan skin, he has gray side burns and a large mustache that connects to his side burns. He wears a dark gray newspaper paper boy cap with googles on it, a brown trench coat cover a white knit turtleneck sweater and brown pants. He has a long wooden staff that is taller than him that he uses as a walking stick. The top of the staff has a large pearl sitting on the top and surrounding the pearl are carved tentacles wrapping around the pearl. He has a wooden pipe he smokes out of and his old quarter masters journal which is extremely wet and water logged both which he is never without.

Sammy is know for being a grump and intimidating to those who don’t know him personally, for those that know him personally he is still a grump but watches out for those he considers a friend and he even enjoys a practical joke now and then. He can be gruff, abrasive, and up front but he isn’t fond of lying.

Backstory

Sammy was a quarter master on a ship when he was in his 50s and then that ship and her crew went down but then Cerithyss found and essentially “claimed” him as her own cause he was basically salvage from the ship and she offered to save his life in turn for serving her which he accepted. His quarter master’s journal is his pact tome and its very wet and water logged. He tried going back out on ships but whether it be bad luck or something else the ships always went down so he just stopped going on ships after a while and stayed on port Lazlo running errands for his goddess diving into the ocean to retrieve salvage. It’s been 120 since Sammy has set foot on a ship.

• Sammy and Chel are old Frenemies and they have a wand of scowls and wand of smiles respectively that they use on each other.
