Phibius Glimmer (He/him) is a character played by Jules (They/them) in Oops! All Villains: A Tiresian Archives Nonfiction One-shot. They are a Level 11 Rock Gnome split-class Armorer Artificer and College of Creation Bard with a faction agent background.
Description
Standing at 3'2'' with short red hair protruding at odd angles out of the the top of his pale, pointed head wherein sit two pristinely blue eyes, Phibius Glimmer's basic appearance would serve well in expressing himself as a youthful, imaginative spirit. Perhaps, he once was such an individual. But the intricately crafted arcane armor and weaponry, scarred skin, and an eyepatch covering one half of his beautiful blue eyes begin to tell the world of the trials Phibius has experienced.
Phibius Glimmer is best described as opinionated and passionate. He can often seem stuck in his ways, but has proven that, with the right help and motivation, he can adapt to most situations. In other words, if Phibius has set his mind to something, its best to get out of his way unless you're confident you can survive being run over.
Backstory
Phibius was raised in a reclusive and poor environment. For generation, pride has kept the Glimmers in Glimmerbrook, but shame has kept them in her shadows. Phibius was gifted three things from his parents: magical talent, deep resentment for the the Presch family and an older sister to watch over him when they both passed. Cadence Glimmer fell in love with Stanza Brook. The two dissolved a centuries-old feud between the two families and eventually moved away from Glimmerbrook to Acropolis. Like Cadence, Stanza also had a little brother, Ferns (Fern for short). As a favor to his sister, Phibius begrudgingly attempted to befriend his new brother-in-law. To his surprise, Fern was a great companion who supported his convictions that Glimmerbrook and her resources should be liberated from the Presch family and returned to the people who settled the land in the first place. The two founded a small group of like-minded individuals and all went underground. Their mission: subvert Presch enterprises, grow their followers and support, and eventually take back what was stolen all those centuries ago. The group, Hope Glimmers, must have been succeeding at scaring the Presches, because they had Phibius and Fern arrested and sent to a super max facility underneath the capitol. What's more, they have falsely accused the brothers of murdering their son, Kryast Presch, and now call for the pair's execution. Phibius and Fern must escape, lest they risk the fall of their home and allies, their untimely deaths, or - gods forbid - being late to their sisters' wedding.
