Moradin

Moradin

Moradin is the lawful good god of the dwarves and the chief deity in their pantheon. A harsh but fair judge, he is strength and force of will embodied. He inspires dwarven inventions and constantly seeks to improve their race, encouraging a good natured, intelligent, and harmonious existence with other good races while battling their pride and isolationist tendencies. While the church of Moradin began as an almost exclusively dwarven church, in recent years it has gained a more and more diverse range of followers. There's a large population of dwarves in Kauvet, and more particularly, in Acropolis, so the Church of Moradin's popularity has increased among non-dwarves as well.

Description

Moradin usually appears as a dwarven man, but he has the capacity like all other Kauvetian gods to transcend gender and race.

Worshipers

Moradin's clerics, known as Sonnlinor, are usually drawn from family lines, like most dwarven occupations; they wear earthy colors with chain mail and silvered helms. The church of Moradin has an active role in guiding the morals of dwarven communities; they emphasize his hand in everyday dwarven activities such as mining, smithing, and engineering, and invokes his blessing when these tasks began. They led the push to found new dwarven kingdoms and increase their status among surface communities. New, non-dwarven followers of Moradin often embody and worship the mining, smithing, and engineering portion of Moradin's gospel.

Warforged

It is believed that Moradin, in conjunction with a dragon, created the first Warforged, which gives us Furnace, Boombox, Watcher (see: The Disappearing Act NPCs), and Doz.
