Leodop Tera

Leodop "Leo" Tera (he/him) is a character played by Brayden (he/they) in Blessed Effects. He is a human draconic bloodline sorcerer with the haunted one background.

Description

Leo is 8'11 and built like a twig, with fluffy snow white hair and big round glasses. He often has a soft cable knit sweater over any armour he may have. As a side effect of being transformed by The Shaper of Flesh, his eyes often change colours but are most often iridescent or opalescent.   He is vocally low self-esteem, maybe a result of the unresolved trauma of being forced from moth to man. He tends to hold those around him on a pedestal, likely related to the aforementioned low self-esteem. He's generally unsure of his purpose and point in life and seeks out others to give him purpose instead. He will often walk into any especially bright light presented to him, regardless of the danger.

Backstory

(CW: Body Horror, moth to man metamorphosis)   Once upon a time there was a woman so lonely, so desperate for true love she reached out to a powerful fae and asked for a husband. Of course the fae obliged, plucking a stray moth out of the air and pressing a kiss against it. They then dropped the moth on the ground, writhing and squirming as it expanded in size, screeching in agony, the sound becoming more and more human. Flailing its legs around, a pair on each side beginning to stick and meld together, as the remaining legs crack and shatter, reforming into arms. Soon the moth is not what it was, soon it is a man, struggling to comprehend the very idea of hands, or the lesser number of legs and utter lack of wings. This is how Leodop Tera came to be. The woman obviously fled, and fed by her tainted gratitude the fae departs, leaving Leo to fend for himself. After a few years, and the kindness of many strangers, Leo would find himself compelled to explore deep inside a dungeon, this is how he met his adventuring party.
