Frik
Frik (they/them) is a character played by Cole (they/them) in the Headache Tower one-shot. They are a lizardfolk arcane trickster rogue 11, and an outland.
Description
They have light glossy blue scales with copper plates and ridges, and yellow dark-rimmed eyes. They have a long frilled tail. They wear a cloak and loose leather clothes for mobility. They're 5'4" tall but tend to walk hunched so they appear to be shorter. Frik is gruff and sarcastic, but with a sense of humor even in dire situations. They cannot resist a challenge, and sees most off-limits areas as a challenge. Figuring out a solution to a complicated problem, breaking into a secured area, or managing to figure out how to do something that they shouldn't know how to do gets them giddy and cocky for days.Backstory
Frik was born in the marshes along the Olanot River. Their clan of Lizardfolk was already nomadic through the marshes, so it was no great surprise when Frik grew restless and split off on their own with the well-wishes of their clanmates. Somewhat surprisingly, Frik was unimaginably bored in the wilds and made a beeline for civilization, and the city of Acropolis no less. They quickly found that the skills they learned out in the wilds translated fairly well to a more urban environment, and found steady work with odd jobs and as a courier. With their complete lack of regard for the concept of private property, it didn't take long for them to find that there was better money to be made in the trade of a "clandestine repossession specialist." After earning good money effectively being a burglar for hire, the heat picked up and Frik realized that it was time to take their show on the road. They bounced from town to town, keeping a low profile and finding work where available, before eventually falling in with a steady crew of similarly-minded "extralegal specialists."Trivia
- They do not enjoy reading, except for the Brightgleam fantasy series and related shlocky fantasy works that they find to be an easy and enjoyable way to kill some time.
- They also think that gender is something that scaleless folks made up because they ran out of things to do.
