Dove Torva (she/her) is a character played by Tristan (he/him) in
The Birth of Amaya Torva. She is a
Human oath of devotion
Paladin with the
Haunted One background.
Description
Dove is 5'4 and has long white hair that is in a high ponytail that goes down to the small of her back. She sports a color palette of blues, gray, and silver and wears full plate armor that goes into a full plate dress. She wields a lance and a shield with a grieving face on it and always has a kinda smile on.
Dove is a kind caring soul who puts others before herself even if it is to her detriment. She values family more than anything and will do anything to keep her family in her life and protect them. She is a different person when it comes to battle and protecting those she loves, she is on the frontlines and will actively use her body as a shield so no one comes to harm. Dove's line of thinking is "if I can see them I can protect them, if I can't protect them then what's the point of my life?"
Backstory
Dove was born to the family Torva along with her older sister Finch and her twin brother Jackdaw. Dove and Jack eventually started going on adventures and met Grimbo and Wren Van Vermeer and formed their own party. They met Wren in a random tavern one night and Wren and Dove instantly hit it off. Dove and Jack parted ways with them in the morning but fate had other plans for the two as the encountered Wren again in the next town they stopped at, from then on they were inseparable.
After being together not even a year yet Wren proposed with a diamond ring, Dove of course said yes immediately and they planned to be married ASAP with a huge wedding between their two families.
Shortly after, Dove, Wren, Jack, and Grimbo accepted a quest to take down a mad
Artificer it was kinda a celebratory quest for Dove and Wren's engagement. By the end of the battle the party was completely overrun with clockwork abominations. Dove couldn't see Grimbo but she could hear him fighting off the abominations, Jack was unconscious and within her sight but the abominations were closing in on him, and Wren was becoming overrun with abominations but was close to the extremely injured artificer. Dove had an impossible choice before her, save her twin brother or save the love of her life.
Unfortunately for her, the choice was made for her with a final song gifted to her by her love Wren disappeared into the mass of clockwork abominations and dealt the killing blow to the mad artificer, stopping all the abominations. Dove rushed over to revive her brother then immediately ran to search for fiancé only to find their lifeless body.
