Ballantine (she/they) is a character played by Kim (she/any) in the fiction one-shot "The Trouble with Dreams." She is a half-orc kensei monk with the golgari agent background.
Description
They have green skin and small tusks. Ballantine is fairly tall as 6'3", leanly muscular, with long pointed elf-like ears that droop down instead of stick up. They have a lot of piercings, yellow eyes, and black hair with dyed streaks of red through the end and all over the roots. Their hair is almost always braided back in french braids.
Ballantine is optimistic, kind, and very protective of the people she cares about. They want to help everyone.
Backstory
Bal is from a small village that's fairly cut off from a lot of major hubs. Her parents (mum orc and dad elf) were low level adventurers in their youth, and put quite a lot of pressure on Bal to be great and powerful. Before they set off to join up with her current adventuring party, their village was attacked by monsters and one of Bal’s closest childhood friends was killed. Bal holds herself responsible because she wasn't strong enough to protect her, not helped by the pushing of their parents to be a hero. Its now her top priority to keep the party safe.
