Elder Gods

The Elder Gods are archaic beings that were worshipped millenia ago. More out of fear than reverence, for the aspects they command are truly horrifying. In recent years they had all but been forgotten, the new deities of humans, elves, dwarves, lóngzhu and jotnar had pushed them aside. These new gods of the Pantheon, Aesir, Tuatha Dé Danann, Diathan and Celestial Dragons have fought and overpowered the Elder Gods in the past and now reign as the major deities of the world. However, since the Harrowing devastated the lands, people have become desperate and the old cults are emerging once more.

Entropic

The entropic Elder Gods are those whose domains feed off of the decay and deterioration of their followers in one way or another, they are cruel and selfish gods who crave power no matter the cost.

Chernobog

The lord of Blood, he is an ancient and powerful god that is said to have created the Sanguine Curse that birthed the first vampires along with creating the magic of haemomancy which uses blood as a catalyst for expotential magical power. In the old days Chernobog was worshipped by many who sought power and his dark gifts or out of fear for what the elder god might do to them if they didn't. In current times however worship of him has become faint with the rise of the new gods, yet still cults to him remain and continue to feed him power and worship. The Maison de Cruauté a society of vampires, haemomancers and blood cultists are the most prominent of his followers and believe that Chernobog is the only god able to counter the Harrowing.

Lagren

The pestilence god may seem like an unusual deity for mortals to worship. The concept of heralding disease, infection and rot in a holy regard is a strange belief. Yet Lagren continues to be. The Harrowing brought new life to the god which previously had slumbered for milenia. The disease and rot fed him, while desperate souls formed cults to him believing he will save them from the deathly plague. With the belief thay through exposure one can only grow stronger.

Huto

The gods and goddess of death may hold sway over the souls of their dead followers, but none are quite like Huto. The god of undeath created the power of necromancy, he gave birth to liches, revenants, shades and death knights. He is the reason spirits of the dead cannot rest and why corpses rise from their graves. Any aspiring lich or necromancer might pledge themselves to worship Huto. In exchange for his favour of granting them eternal life in undeath they must accept a lifetime of servitude to the elder god.

Pheimos

The elder god of fear is worshipped not for respect or reverence but due to what they can do to a mortal being. The very idea that there is an immortal deity that knows all your darkest fears and can manifest them is terrifying enough. Pheimos' followers are imbued with their gift of spreading fear to all around, they crave it and grow stronger off of the fear of mortals. In exchange they promise that their followers and cultists will never know fear again. Except for the ever present fear that Pheimos is always there, watching, waiting, knowing everything that terrifies you.

Dachnus

Pleasure, desire, lust, greed, gluttony whatever craving you seek Dachnus can provide. The god of indulgence might seem to many as anappealing, even welcoming god. Do not let that fool you, though they can offer to sate any desire you have. Once you have tasted what Dachnus has to offer you will never be able to resist again. That pleasure will never be the same again, you'll keep wanting more and more. Until that very desire consumes you. Cults of Dachnus are more like pleasure orgies, where the cult members indulge in all their desires no matter how dark or depraved.

Menot

Pure unbridled rage, hatred and malice is what fuel Menots strength. From a simple argument to cold hearted murder, the god of malevolance feeds off it all. Mortals that lose control of their hatred and rage are susceptible to falling to Menots draw. Cults of Menot have one simple goal in mind, to bring about unrestrained destruction and death to all the cultists despise. Which in truth could be any and all, the more they drink of Menots power the more they hate and the more they want to kill all others. Their rage and hatred often causes horrific demonic mutations that allow them to enact their malicious acts to further effect.

Nutris

What drives men to madness? Repetition, boredom, change, ignorance or perhaps something beyond our control. Madness stems from one source, Nutris, the God of Madness. Ever shifting, ever changing, control is lost and confusion reigns when Nutris' tendrels reach a mortals mind. Cults have arisen dedicated to the lord of insanity, deranged and deluded souls who have lost their minds. For these cultists only a mad obessession remains in their minds. To summon forth their dark lord and his spawn, wherever a cult of Nutris appears only insanity will follow.

Primordials

The primordial Elder Gods are the first beings to have existed, they embody the four elements needed to create the world and grant it life. They hold little care for the troubles of mortals however and seek only to expand their own domains further, a constant battle of flux between the four of them.

Koss

The elemental lord of fire is a volatile god whose untempered rage is infamous amongst the gods, in the early years he was worshipped for the gift of fire he brought to the world. Warming homes, cooking food, heating forges and destroying foes, fire brought all manner of things to the primitive mortals that sought it out and Koss fed off their desire and use of his gift. In the current era Koss is vilified for his destructive nature and the horrific actions his followers have performed in his name, cultists of Koss are hated and hunted by all for all cults dedicated to the god of fire end the same. In a glorious blaze of white hot death and destruction.
