The Sapphires of Airmid
This sapphire necklace was in Leith's possesion after the death of his sister Neala. He gives it to Isobel to trade for her sisters when Moriath takes them. After Moriath uses them to survive her fall from the cliff, they appear dull and broken, all their magic drained.
Deirdre draped the necklace around my neck and fastened the clasp. “You’re right. That’s exactly what she needed.”
“I can’t wear this.” I touched the largest gem gingerly. I could have sworn it hummed a little under my finger. “These look like sapphires! They must be worth a fortune.” - The Rose Gate
“Really?!” The word burst out of me in anger. “History? Don’t you have better things to do than annoy me right now? Kingdoms to rule? Other lives to ruin?”
“I am very busy. It’s true,” the queen said with a laugh, “but I’m feeling generous today. The necklace’s history actually applies to your current difficulties.”
I glared at her, but she ignored it. “Airmid was one of the first of the Tuatha Dé Danann. She was a powerful faerie and the champion of healers. This necklace was a creation of hers. It can heal any wound, no matter how mortal.” - The Rose Gate
"The Sapphires of Airmid were relics from the days of the Fomóirian Wars, long ago. They can heal any injury short of death itself." - The Frost Gate

“The Sapphires of Airmid,” she began conversationally, fingering Neala’s necklace. “I don’t suppose Leith ever told you their history.”
