Ruarc

Ruarc was Gavin's older brother. Moriath seduced him and he left his family to be with her, eventually becoming one of her wolves when she tired of him. He was killed by Tiernan in a skirmish with the Seelie fianna.

Gavin laughed humorlessly. “It took me weeks to track him down. Her attention span was even shorter than I could have guessed. Or maybe my brother wasn’t all that much fun. She’d tired of him already. I found Ruarc with the rest of the faoladh. That’s what happened to the young men the queen lured away. They joined her personal wolf pack. I begged him to come home, but he refused. I thought he still loved Moriath. I didn’t realize then how difficult it is to walk away from the faoladh.”

“He was killed in a border skirmish six months later. The seelie crown prince himself cut him down in battle.” Gavin spat on the ground.
