Glaistig

One of the taller races of Aos Sí, the glaistig are about shoulder height on a human, with human-like features but the legs, hooves, horns, and ears of a goat. Glaistig kids have a tendancy to climb from a young age, keeping their parents busy as they run about on their grass-covered roofs. Glaistig are vegetarian with a preference for leafy greens.

In Mythology and Folklore:

In Scottish folklore, the Glaistig is always a woman, beautiful, but often hiding goats legs under her long skirts. She might be kind and protect children or animals (especially cattle), or she might lure men to their doom and suck their blood, depending on the legend. In Tír na nÓg we meet the glaistig as a proper race of individuals, both male and female, with a variety of temperments. A rogue female or two must have visited Scotland and made an impression.

From The Books:

Padraig, the chief, clopped over toward me on his goat-like legs and embraced me in a strong hug, smacking my back.

“Rosie had only little nubs of horns last time I saw her.”
“They grew! See?” She tapped the top of her horns proudly.
