Ena

Ena is the housekeeper at Kilinaire Castle.

Introduction to Ena in the books

“You see, my lord,” said a raccoon, popping its head up beside the bed. “I told you to shave. You look terrifying.”

I blinked at the raccoon. Nope, this was not okay.

The stranger wore a simple green dress with a white apron and a white kerchief on her head. Her skin was mottled in shades of brown, and her long ears came to sharp points at the tops. Her dark eyes glittered merrily as she watched me sit up in the bed. All in all, she was no taller than…a raccoon.

“Ena?” I blinked in disbelief.

“Of course, my dear,” the brownie answered briskly.

Favourite Ena Quotes

Ah yes, the raccoon. Ena? Was this the same raccoon as earlier, or was the castle overrun with talking raccoons?

“Are you going to scream again?” Its voice sounded like a middle-aged woman with a brisk Irish accent.

“I don’t think so?”

“Good. One bout of hysteria is quite enough for today."
