The San Benedict family holds power in the lower right-hand side of Aloria. The capital of its area lies in Landington . While that is also the capital of the nation, they have their own soldiers hosted there to help keep the peace.
The San Benedict family is primarily known for its accumulation of power in the political realm. They have one of the most populous regions, and only the San William  family's regions rival their own with power or population.
They have worked hard to ensure their family has the most political appointments in the capital. The patriarch of the family worked hard to ensure his daughter met and married the presumed heir, Rodric, before he became Mad King Rodric . When Rodric died they worked to ensure Rodric's oldest son, Edward, would be named the next king.
While they have publicly sworn to uphold King Liam , often behind closed doors members of the San Benedict family work to undermine King Liam, especially once he named Edward as his heir, until such time as he married and produced his own heir.
