Nesrick's Journal
The voice in the blight told me of a lonely childhood. His parents banned, torn apart for their forbidden love. The voice said his mother sang over him of dreams of power and vengeance. Is his mother the Fallen Power? His mother was taken from him when he was young.
He swore revenge on those who had torn away his parents and as he came into his power he strove to create a song to counter the First Song sung by the Creator, a Last Song that would serve as a discordant counterpoint, one that would undo all the Creator had done.
The voice was growing louder and stronger in his rantings, more difficult to resist. Something has changed.
I've searched through the oldest books in our libraries, looking for every scrap I can find on the Egg of the Night and the earliest days.
We need to reanchor the Egg of Night. I found a vague reference to the Man of the Mines and how he forged it through fonts of magic that sprang up in the world. Perhaps the ley lines and magic fonts here are strong enough to help seal it and draw the creature back in?
The rate of blight has increased. My own infection has grown more, and the voice will not shut up. I fear I will have to try the ritual before they return. I had hoped to wait until they came back.
The True Primrose can act as a focal point. From my research it should be found at the point I marked on the map called Sky Peaks.
I think if the True Primrose is taken and attuned to the Rainbow Furies, Amethyst Vale, and Frostreaves, it will give us a shot at taking down the creature and hopefully containing it again.
I do not believe it is possible to destroy it, for if the Powers that serve the Creator were not able to, what hope do we mere mortals have?
