Charis Ruyle

Charis is a young widow of Heimatland. Her husband died defending their small town in the final attack. Her young son is named after her husband.
She is the spokeswoman for a small group of widowed and single young women who plan to use their housewivery skills to open a bakery, and brew ale. They plan to also take in laundry and mending to support the colonists who made not have those skills.
Charis is mildly averse to magic and is a little unsure what she will find in this new land, but is looking forward to a fresh start.
