The time in which the gods created the world, and the subsequent fall of the trifecta.
Ancient civilizations spring up around the world. The Saiit spread across Maiara and intermingle with the existing tribes of the land, as the Viliit come together in unison in Loudan. Humans create a nation to the east of the ocean's great mountain range, and metallurgy grows in popularity in Omarach.
The ancient civilizations that claimed the world in the days of old, and their fall.
The Uluran civilization of the Giants falls, all members of the race dying off or disappearing almost overnight. Few traces of the cause remained and any who were close enough to know what could have caused the mass destruction of the giants either died along with them or kept strict secrecy. The ruins of their empire of stone and sand remain, inhabited by the smaller races that had acted as servants and slaves during the height of their rule. The few whispers of the fate of the giants that escaped the continent point to the Stonewyrm as the instigator, but the how and why is never revealed. Symbolism showing the sun and stars dot much of the leftover architecture in the ruins, but nowhere is the stonewyrm itself actually referenced.
An unknown cataclysm destroys the capital Maiaran city of Azra'ketai and with it the heads of the tribal Saiitian government.
The races with the least hold on the world, the Saiit and Viliit, are enslaved by the other major governments that have sprung up around them. The Quasan are discovered, but are protected by their neighboring groups- namely, the one free Saiitian city-state of Dasana and the country of Pok.
Metaphysical occurrences bring the gods back to the forefront of the people's minds, though in a variety of ways. The Archanan and Calazheesian main faiths are established along with the Crystal Mother and a variety of smaller offshot worships devoted to the two principle gods.
The Ryph Corsairs set sail from their home country to explore the world and return with knowledge of the various other societies of the world. Trade and communication is established, bringing awareness to the world.
The countries of the world coexist as peacefully as they can, and trade is expanded across the world.
The cultures of the world mix as trade expands, with most countries falling into an amiable agreement with each other. A few choose to keep mostly to themselves, but accept delegates and get to know their new found neighbors readily, not wanting to be caught unawares. The Quasan near Dasana are acknowledged as their own solitary people, while the ones near Pok are considered a sect of their own population.
The country of Sylamas, to the east of Pok, takes over a stretch of disputed land to their east and south and establishes the Sylamasian Empire. They strengthen trade relations with Pok and Omarach.
Maiara goes to war with itself over the Saiit and their status within the country. This coincides with Loudan's significantly smaller but still very present discussion on Viliit rights, all of which is spurred by strained relations with Rypharam, who opposes the enslavement of these distinctly valuable people.
The war in Maiara, though over for a decade, has finally born fruit as the Saiitian people are free.
The Quasan of Pok share the knowledge of the 'Serpentsingers'- a variety of Quasan with vibrant coloration setting them apart from most of their kind. These rare individuals have the instinctual ability to lull the dangerous serpents that inhabit the world's oceans, calming them enough to allow travel through previously inaccessible waterways. Some try their hand at reaching out into the wider world by offering their services to trade ships.
After seeing the success that Maiara has with freeing the Saiit, Loudan frees the Viliit, designating reservations for their traditional communities in the eastern part of the country.
The Viliit aid the people of the world greatly in communication, making Tipana feel closer than ever.
The Lichenian colony on Moonbow Island disappears. Sylamas- due to their alliance with Lichen- and Maiara- due to their proximity to the island- send delegates to assist in investigating the matter. Friction between the delegates and conflicting interests leaves the event a mystery. Control of the island switches to Sylamas in a trade deal shortly after.
Sylamas, with Omarach backing them, launch an attack on the southern end of Maiara and Dasana's eastern side. The world is shocked by this act of aggression, and while Maiara is able to hold its own, Dasana nearly buckles until a last-minute agreement with the larger country makes Dasana a Maiaran city-state with access to full military cooperation. Loudan and Rypharam sign an alliance and rebuff a simultanious attack from their western front, while Lichen enters into all-out war with their neighbors. Uluro, one of the independent countries, locks down further than ever before, disallowing entry from all but one location, while the few settlements in the northern Frostlands do the same.
Sylamas has launched all-out war.
The country of Lichen, under assault from multiple fronts and woefully underprepared, lasts all of one year under the ministrations of Sylamas and Omarach. Despite having backup from Rypharam, they fall and are forced to sign a treaty with Sylamas, falling under the empire's hold. Occupation ensues.
The Sylamasian assault on Maiara resumes from the south, as they establish a colony on the Ole Islands and coordinate. Maiara fends them off with the assistance of Rypharam.
A Ryph Corsair runs off from active duty during the confusion of the war, taking with him a number of men and three ships. They establish a band of pirates known as the Silt Skimmers and build their forces up in secret, hitting ships from Rypharam, Maiara and Sylamas with impunity.
The Lord of Pok becomes infirm and unable to lead his people, leading to an argument between his son and daughter over the line of succession.
The country of Pok becomes split down the middle as half of the country supports the war, while half condemns it and backs Maiara. This split becomes literal as the country separates and goes to war with itself, with the children of the previous Lord of Pok heading the charge against one another. The Quasan are thrown into disarray as their protection lapses and Sylamas makes deals with one side of the conflict for the Serpentsingers.
In the face of a world war and still dealing with their own piracy issue, Rypharam declares neutrality, signing a peace accord with Sylamas on behalf of themselves and Loudan, forgoing further involvement and focusing down piracy so long as the waterways around their country are not used for warfare.
The queen of Maiara dies in childbirth, leaving the infant princess motherless.
