Rodney Giantblood

Rodney Giantblood is a retired adventurer who came to Fartown to kick back and live a peaceful life as a mushroom farmer. He is a laidback man, who doesn't take life too seriously and is just enjoying the peace that comes from living on the frontier.
In his youth he was an electrum rank adventurer, and was widely known as the strongest man alive. He earned his electrum pin at 35 when he duelled Faram the king of the giants to a standstill. Their battle lasted 5 and a half hours, and at the end Faram was forced to withdraw when Rodney destroyed his warhammer. Rodney never really bragged about it, but after a few whiskeys he sometimes tells the story, stating,

"The big bastard nearly had me beat, I knew that i couldn't hold out for much longer so I just went for it. Bam! managed to cleave straight through the haft of his hammer up near the head, I don't know who was more suprised, me or him."
Rodney retired in his 40s, feeling himself slowing down he decided he'd rather die of old age than in battle, he is still no slouch though and wields his walking stick with a power that younger men are jealous of. He moved to Fartown 10 years ago, originally serving as the guildmaster for the town. He has since retired from that in order to focus on his mushroom farm, but he is still very involved in guild proceedings. Often Rodney will post jobs on the guild board with pay rates that are far higher than what one would expect for such a job. He has stated he's, "Just lookin out for the youngins."
