Xassalt, the Progenitor

Origin: Xassalt has no beginning or end, he has always been. She is neither male nor female; he became both father and mother to all through the creation of three sons. Xassalt dwelled alone amidst the swirling chaos, and found this existence to be incredibly lonely. Not wanting to continue in solitude, Xassalt birthed Bendis, Kundis, and Ormus. They were declared the gods of Life, Time, and Death. With sons of such diverse talents, Xassalt and the new deities decided that it was time to shape this chaos into something spectacular. Together with the elemental lords, they created Thyr and took their places as the pantheon of that world. As parent and grandparent to all of the deities, Xassalt became the overseer to the whole of the pantheon, only interfering in the most dire of circumstances. She is rarely seen, but an omnipresent parent in the home of the gods.   Religion and Dogma: Xassalt does not have a major following but is recognized by worshipers of all religions. He has no formalized religion or clergy. She is not truly concerned with the daily lives of mortals. Her true responsibilities lay with keeping the other deities on their best behavior and preventing the destruction of the world due to their actions. Xassalt has only had to destroy a god once due to misbehavior.   The symbol of Xassalt is a coin. On one side is the face of a man. The other side shows the face of a woman.   Appearance: Xassalt appears to be both male and female as if both sexes were joined at the back. Race and appearance are mutable. Mortals and other deities see him as they want to see her. He is rarely referred to by anything other than his given name. If pronouns are used, it is done so interchangeably. Unlike other deities in the Thyrian Pantheon, Xassalt has the same name regardless of race, region, or ethnic population.
