Nerina, goddess of water

Nerina glided from the chaos in the wake of her two moody siblings. The three brothers and Xassalt knew she was the Lady of Water because of the calming effect she had on Ognyan and Nephele. She alone was able to pacify them. She alone is able to incite her brother the Lord Stone into movement and action. She has a unifying effect on the Elemental Lords. She is not above using her influence on her siblings when necessary, and this is especially effective when she and Thyra decide to work together. Typically Nerina is fairly even tempered, however if provoked she can become as violent and destructive as her elder siblings. In fact it is said that because Nerina is so slow to anger, her fury is even more frightening than that of her brother the Lord of Fire.   Religion and Dogma: The clerics of Nerina are typically flexible and diplomatic. They tend to flow with the tides of change like water around a stone. They know with gentle application of pressure over time they can get the results they seek, however, they are fiercely loyal to the communities they serve. Poor indeed is the fate of one who would dare cross a cleric of Nerina, for their diplomacy and placid nature can only be pushed so far. If provoked they will respond with all the ferocity of a tidal wave.   Temples of Nerina are always found near a naturally occurring water feature. Frequently these water features are found to have healing properties as they are considered blessed by the Lady. The vestments of a Nerinan cleric are constructed of layers of shining silk in green and teal that billow like waves when the wearer is walking. The holy symbol of Nerina is an artistic representation of a wave executed in silver on a disk of polished seashell.   Sailors, fishermen, people who live near the coast, and some merchants are among the Lady's devotees. Fishermen typically pay a tribute of pearls tossed into the waves before they set out in hopes of full nets.   Appearance: Nerina always appears as a humanoid shaped spout of water. Sometimes her features are more distinct, but not always.
