Mirith, goddess of Love

Sazi created Mirith from the chaos, meant to cause disruption and instability; however, Mirith had a curious effect on those whom she encountered: She inspired them to have concern for one another; this concern grew stronger in some cases, and thus, love was born.   She is known for her giving nature and her compassion; whether or not this evolution concerns Sazi is unknown. What is known is that Mirith does in some cases cause a chaotic effect on those who find themselves in her path. There is a common oath "Mirith makes one foolish."   Religion and Dogma: Clerics of Mirith are renowned for their compassion and empathy as well as their physical beauty; they are among some of the most loved and admired clergy in the land, due to their kind nature. It is said that if you need an individual swayed to your way of thinking, a cleric of Mirith is your best friend. They are known for being excellent mediators, because they can make you feel as if you are the most important person in the world.   Clerics of Mirith adorn themselves with vestments of sumptuous white silk trimmed in gold thread. They comport themselves with untold grace in every activity which they perform. Temples of Mirith are as beautiful as the goddess they serve, frequently featuring stained glass windows depicting the birth of the goddess and her many actions throughout Thyrian history and mythology. Fresh flowers are placed on her altars every morning. The flowers from the day before are distributed to those Thyrians who look as though they would benefit from an act of unsolicited kindness.   Mirith is evoked in every marriage ceremony. Women and men seeking their life partner frequently offer devotions to this goddess so that she may look favorably and send the person's beloved to them. Frequently persons with a desired object of affection pray to Mirith that she may bring love to the target's heart. People who find themselves with unrequited love pray to her in hopes that the object of their affections will return their feelings.   The Mirithite faith is constantly at odds with the Kalusite faith, as they try to spread love and kindness, the Kalusite faithful spread cruelty, hatred, and misery. For her part, Mirith loves her sister, despite her polar opposite personality, and hopes to one day convince her sister to forsake her malicious ways.   Her holy symbol is a rose within a heart.   Appearance: Mirith appears as a beautiful woman with long, luxurious hair that is some shade of red. Her beauty is almost painful to observe, as she is always the most beautiful thing any mortal has laid eyes on, so her appearance varies from person to person. She can appear to a room full of people, and each person will describe her differently; the only common thread is her long red hair.
