Humans, akin to those found on Earth. They come in many forms and varieties. Some have magical powers. All humans are members of the Homo sapiens species, with each distinct type representing a different subspecies. Human subspecies are able to interbreed, with the result usually resembling Homo sapiens inferma.
Homo sapiens inferma - Regular humans
Inferma are typical humans. They lack magical powers, but have a fondness for altering their bodies via tattoos and implants. It's not uncommon to see humans with pointed ears, forked tongues or fluffy tails. They don't live as long as Greys, aren't as resilient as Ambulacertans, nor as robust as Okaridians. But they've nonetheless spread to every corner of the galaxy.
Homo sapiens inferma acephali - Acephals
An artificial slave race native to the planet Ergasta. Created through genetic and growth manipulation of inferma children while in the womb, acephals have no head, and get their nutrients through their umbilical cord, which is maintained. Typically used as draught animals, acephals are a high-value asset on a planet which values environmentally friendly transport.
Homo sapiens iridesia - Iridesians
A variant of human that is very similar to Inferma, that came to be through genetic manipulation. They are typically taller than Inferma, and have a variety of bright fluorescent skin colours, like bright green or blue.
Homo sapiens susceptor - Susceptors
A genetic offshoot of human, capable of using twelve different varieties of magic. They are easily distinguished by having 'chimeric' skin patterning, with swirls of colour spread across their body and hair.
Homo sapiens susceptor inciperi- Inceptors
A hybrid race created through the forced interbreeding of Inferma and Susceptor. They resemble Inferma, and typically lack chimeric banded skin. They also lack magic, although they can act as carriers for the activation gene.
