Causes

Shadow magic in blood too strong, spills out to rest of body.

Symptoms

Physical Symptoms

Dark grey skin, black eyes, black hair.
Can see in pitch blackness, but bright lights can cause some pain. While in shadows, they naturally become darker, blending in with the darkness.

Mental Symptoms

Dislike being centre of attention. Like hiding in edges of society.

Magical Symptoms

Blooded Shadowweaver.
Nature of Shadow Magic means it is concealed, hardest to find and unlikely to be exposed.

Treatment

There is no treatment for being Shadowborn.

Prognosis

Constant status that lasts for afflicted creature’s lifetime.

Cultural Reception

Met with fear, many want them turned into magic-controlling organisations. Most midwives recommend abandoning Shadowborn children.
