Viator'aNar

The Viator'aNar are a related group of Prosk'aNara Elves that have been wandering the lands of the known world for more than 700 years. Numbering 188 adult Elves and a very few juveniles, these Elves travel the map by horse and wagons. The group is a formal association of seven seperate families of Elves. These families have been living, working and travelling together for centuries and only the occassional marriage arrangement with other non-Viatores Elves has introduced new members to the community.   The Viatores are one of a handful of Proska'Nara that have adopted the name Vagari.  Proudly accepting the typically pejorative term used by Vytuian Elves for centuries, the Viator'aNar are glad to be called Vagari.

Structure

A leader is elected from among the members of the Viatores for a ten-year role as the Primus Viatores, or First Viator.  Each of the established families of the Viatores is lead by the eldest male Elf of that family, and his title is Primus Pader, or First Father.  Traditionally, the Primus Viatores is chosen from among the Primus Paters of the community, but there is no established rule or law saying anyone can't be chosen to be Primus Viatores.

Public Agenda

The Viator'aNar are currently camped in the heart of the "Soton Fringe" located on the southern edge of the great Lothia Forest of Teboba just seven miles north of the City of Soton in Lesser Imesse.  They have been camped there on the high plains hunting and foraging in the wild woods for nearly three weeks and plan to remain for as much as another eight weeks before moving north to the banks of the Caldar River by late fall.
